Chawalit Plaphol, the favoured Thai National completed the Queen’s Cup with a Final Round of 68 (-3) for a total of 273 (-11).
He commented, “I had a good feeling today. On some holes, it was very tough with the strong winds. This feels good. I’ve not had a trophy in five years. My last win was on this course (Bangkok Airways Open), so I felt quite confident to win this week. I’m happy to have the Queen’s Cup trophy.”
The US$300,000 (equivalent to around 10 million baht) tournament, sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Thailand PGA, was the third Queen’s Cup – Asian Tour of the tournament held in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.
